The Tampa Bay Rays acquired first baseman Jesus Aguilar from the Milwaukee Brewers on Wednesday in exchange for right-hander Jake Faria.

Aguilar, 29, could fill the Rays’ wish for another powerful right-handed bat, although he is hitting just .225 with eight home runs in 94 games this season. He is trying to find his 2018 form, when he smashed 35 home runs with 108 RBIs for Milwaukee.

Aguilar is a career .256 hitter with 59 home runs — all of which came in the past three seasons for the Brewers. He spent parts of three seasons (2014-16) with the Cleveland Indians, appearing in 35 games.

Faria, 26, has a 2.70 ERA in seven relief outings this season, striking out 11 in 10 innings. He is 9-8 with a 4.18 ERA in three seasons with the Rays, including 26 starts.
