The Houston Astros activated outfielder Michael Brantley from the 10-day injured list on Tuesday and placed utility player Aledmys Diaz on the IL with a fractured left hand.

Brantley, 34, has been sidelined since May 23 with tightness in his right hamstring.

The four-time All-Star is batting .305 with three homers, 15 RBIs and 25 runs scored in 41 games this season.

Brantley has a career .297 batting average with 117 homers and 655 RBIs in 1,286 career games with the Cleveland Indians (2009-18) and Astros.

Diaz, 30, left Saturday’s 6-2 loss to the Toronto Blue Jays in the top of the fourth inning after he was hit in the hand by a pitch from Ross Stripling.

Postgame X-rays revealed the fracture for Diaz, who is hitting .278 with three home runs and 18 RBIs in 34 games this season.

In 440 career major league games with the St. Louis Cardinals (2016-17), Blue Jays (2018) and Astros, Diaz has hit .274 with 57 home runs and 204 RBIs. He was an All-Star as a rookie in 2016.
