Phillies center fielder Brandon Marsh limped off the field after having his left knee buckle while unsuccessfully leaping for a Jonathan India homer in the third inning of Philadelphia’s game against the Cincinnati Reds on Tuesday night.

The ball reached the second row of seats, but Marsh fell to the ground and right fielder Nick Castellanos immediately waved to the Philadelphia dugout for medical assistance for Marsh.

Matt Vierling moved from left to center to take over for Marsh while Nick Maton entered the game as the new left fielder.

Marsh was playing in his 12th game with the Phillies after being traded from the Los Angeles Angels at the deadline. He entered Tuesday batting .226 with eight home runs and 39 RBIs in 104 games.
