The Philadelphia Phillies signed right-handed reliever Archie Bradley to a one-year deal.

The team didn’t announce the contract value, but media reports pegged it at $6 million.

Bradley, 28, divided the 2020 season between the Arizona Diamondbacks and Cincinnati Reds. He went 2-0 with six saves and a 2.95 ERA in 16 appearances. He struck out 18 and walked three batters in 18 1/3 innings.

The Diamondbacks traded him to the Reds in August for utility player Josh Van Meter and outfielder Stuart Fairchild.

Bradley’s strikeout rate of 26.2 percent is sixth and his 8.6 percent walk rate is seventh among National League relievers with at least 150 appearances since 2018.

A first-round selection of the Diamondbacks in the 2011 MLB Draft, Bradley has a career record of 23-25 with 28 saves and a 3.91 ERA in 255 games (35 starts) for the Diamondbacks (2015-20) and Reds.

In a corresponding move, the Phillies designated outfielder Kyle Garlick for assignment.
