Right-hander Kyle Gibson signed a one-year contract with a club option for 2025 with the St. Louis Cardinals on Tuesday.

The team didn’t announce financial terms, but, per the New York Post, the deal is for $12 million.

The move comes one day after the Cardinals welcomed back Lance Lynn on a one-year contract with a 2025 team option, which the club made official on Tuesday. The 36-year-old right-hander helped the Cardinals win the 2011 World Series.

Gibson, 36, recorded a career-high in wins last season, posting a 15-9 mark with a 4.73 ERA in 33 appearances (all starts) in his lone season with the Baltimore Orioles. He struck out 157 batters over 192.0 innings.

Gibson owns a 104-100 record with a 4.54 ERA in 300 career appearances (294 starts) with the Minnesota Twins (2013-19), Texas Rangers (2020-21), Philadelphia Phillies (2021-22) and Orioles.

Gibson played collegiately at Missouri in Columbia, which is approximately 125 miles from Busch Stadium.
