Wednesday night’s contest between the Phoenix Suns and Atlanta Hawks has been postponed due to contact tracing in Phoenix that would have left the team short of the required eight-player minimum, the NBA announced.

The game was to be played in Phoenix.

While no Suns player had tested positive as of Wednesday morning, per Arizona Sports, contact tracing was underway after Monday night’s game against the Wizards, who had two players placed in protocols. The Wizards’ game Wednesday against Utah was also postponed.

The Suns canceled practice on Tuesday after learning that Washington’s Rui Hachimura and Moe Wagner were placed in the COVID-19 protocol.

The Suns are next scheduled to play Friday night at home against Golden State.
