Atlanta Hawks forward Paul Millsap suffered a right shoulder sprain and contusion and will miss the next two games, the team announced Monday.
Millsap was injured with 1:52 remaining in the second quarter of Saturday night’s game against the Brooklyn Nets. An X-ray was negative and an MRI revealed the shoulder sprain and contusion.
Millsap will miss the team’s next two games on Tuesday and Wednesday and then be re-evaluated. The Hawks have already locked up the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference.
Millsap is averaging 16.8 points and 7.8 rebounds in 72 games this season.
