Eighty-nine players notified the NBA of their desire to remove their names from the list of early entrants into the 2019 draft and instead return to college next season.

The NBA released the list on Thursday, one day after the deadline for NCAA underclassmen to withdraw from the draft and retain their college eligibility.

Among the players staying in school is Kansas’ Silvio De Sousa, a rising junior who was suspended last season while the NCAA investigated claims related to the bribery scandal that enveloped the sport this season.

Rising sophomore Devon Dotson also is returning to the Jayhawks. Rising sophomore Quentin Grimes withdrew his name from the draft but announced that he will transfer from Kansas.

Duke’s Javin DeLaurier, a 6-foot-10 who averaged 3.8 points and 2.6 rebounds in 38 games (16 starts) as a junior last season, is also returning to school. With the likes of Zion Williamson, RJ Barrett and Cam Reddish leaving the Blue Devils after one season, DeLaurier could be in line for more playing time next season.

Defending national champion Virginia will get back a key player with Mamadi Diakite pulling out of the NBA draft. The 6-foot-9 forward averaged 7.4 points, 4.4 rebounds and 1.7 blocked shots as a junior last season.

The NBA will release the final list of players who pulled their name from the draft following the June 10 deadline that is primarily utilized by foreign players.

The draft is scheduled for June 20 at Barclays Center in New York.
