Dallas forward Kristaps Porzingis is reportedly planning to play against the Los Angeles Clippers on Tuesday, ending a 10-game absence from the Mavericks’ lineup.

According to the Dallas Morning News, Porzingis told reporters on Sunday, “The way I’m feeling, I don’t see why there should be any hurdles. But you never know, so I’m just putting in the work, making sure the knee is strong, leg is strong.”

Porzingis has not played since Dec. 29, sitting out to deal with right knee soreness. He missed nearly half of the 2017-18 season and all of last season after suffering a torn ACL in his left knee.

Porzingis reportedly went through a full practice Sunday, with coach Rick Carlisle telling reporters afterward that the 24-year-old Latvian showed “good stuff.”

The 7-foot-3 Porzingis is averaging 17.3 points, 9.4 rebounds and 2.1 blocks in 31 games this season, averaging more than 31 minutes per contest.

He was in Las Vegas on Saturday night, shown in the audience prior to the Conor McGregor-Donald Cerrone main event at UFC 246 at T-Mobile Arena.

The Mavericks went 6-4 in Porzingis’ absence and enter Monday 27-15, in fifth place in the Western Conference.
