Los Angeles Lakers forward Anthony Davis won’t play Wednesday night against the Golden State Warriors, according to multiple reports.

The game falls on the second night of back-to-back contests, and Davis has been fighting injuries.

He has had a sore right shoulder and also was hit in the ribs Tuesday night in a 123-115 overtime victory over the Phoenix Suns.

The Lakers said X-rays on his ribs were negative.

“[He’s] playing through a lot of pain, rib injury,” Lakers coach Frank Vogel said after the game. “It was a gritty effort for him. He played through pain and helped us close the game out.”

Davis played 38 minutes on Tuesday, scored 24 points and pulled down 12 rebounds.

Kyle Kuzma likely will start in Davis’ spot.
