Orlando Magic center Nik Vucevic suffered a bone bruise on his right knee during Wednesday night’s game against the Houston Rockets.
An MRI confirmed the extent of the injury that occurred in the second half of the Magic’s 119-114 overtime loss to Rockets. The team said Thursday that Vucevic’s return will hinge on his recovery while undergoing treatment.
The 7-foot Vucevic will miss the Magic’s home game on Friday night against the Toronto Raptors. And the team will miss his presence. He is averaging 15.8 points, 8.0 rebounds, 2.4 blocked shots and 2.0 assists in five games this season.
