The Arizona Cardinals signed free agent offensive lineman Jordan Mills and placed offensive tackle Marcus Gilbert on injured reserve Tuesday with a knee injury.

Mills signed a one-year, $1.25 million deal, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported. Gilbert reportedly tore his ACL during practice last week.

Mills, 28, started 53 consecutive games at tackle with the Buffalo Bills from 2015-18. The veteran signed with the Miami Dolphins during the offseason but was released last month with an injury settlement.

Originally a fifth-round pick by Chicago in 2013, Mills started 29 games in two seasons with the Bears before signing with the Bills in October 2015.

Gilbert, 31, was acquired from the Pittsburgh Steelers for a sixth-round pick in March. He played in just 12 of 32 games from 2017-18 due to injury.

In eight NFL seasons, Gilbert has started 87 of 88 games, all with the Steelers.

The Cardinals allowed five sacks of rookie Kyler Murray during Sunday’s season-opening 27-27 tie with the Detroit Lions.
