–Quarterback Josh Rosen went to his Instagram account to thank both Sam Bradford and Mike Glennon, the Cardinals’ two veteran quarterbacks, for helping him get prepared for his first NFL start this week.

“Since Day 1, Sam has had my back and helped me become the best quarterback I could be. I cannot thank him enough for showing me how to be a professional in every sense of the word,” Rosen wrote on the post. “He is a leader, a mentor, a great person. He and Mike Glennon couldn’t haven’t been more supportive at a time that I thought might be a bit tense or awkward today. I couldn’t be more thrilled to be in a QB room with two of the most selfless people I’ve ever been around as I start my career as a quarterback in the NFL. For that, I say thank you.”

Rosen signed off with this kicker: “With that being said, let’s get the Valley rockin,’ AZ!!!!”

–“I saw it the first day he came into the huddle back in OTAs that he had a calmness and a confidence about him and that’s something that you can’t teach. That’s something that’s just innate and he has it.” — Right guard Justin Pugh on rookie quarterback Josh Rosen.

–Cornerback Jamar Taylor split first-team reps in practice with CB Bene’ Benwikere as coach Steve Wilks contemplates making yet another personnel change among his starters. Taylor, who has started the first three games opposite Patrick Peterson, was having his best game thus far last Sunday against the Bears until getting burned for a long completion at a pivotal moment in the game. Benwikere replaced him and is vying for the start this Sunday against the Seahawks.

“He and J.T. will share the reps this week and at the end of the week, I’ll make that decision,” Wilks said, adding of Benwikere, “I am happy with him and I think he’s been doing a tremendous job. The one thing I’m going to continue to try and do is create competition throughout.”

–“From a competition standpoint, the one word is use all the time is ‘trust,’ I want to be able to put guys out on the field that I trust, guys that are going to be able to execute and do the things that we ask them to do and that’s where it starts.” — Coach Steve Wilks when asked directly what linebackers Deone Bucannon and Haason Reddick need to do to get more reps. The two former first-round draft picks played a combined five snaps on defense last week against the Bears.

–Wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald has 163 receptions for 1,958 yards and 11 touchdowns in his career against the Seahawks. He has more catches and receiving yards against Seattle than any other player in NFL history.

–The team signed defensive end Ufomba Kamalu to the practice squad and released defensive end Alec Jones from the practice squad. Kamalu has played in 13 games for the Texans, including three starts, and has 11 tackles, three sacks and five tackles for loss since entering the league with Houston as an undrafted rookie free agent in 2016 out of the University of Miami. The three-year veteran was released following the preseason on Sept. 2.

BY THE NUMBERS: 49 — Receiving yards allowed (on six receptions) by opposing receivers covered by Cardinals cornerback Patrick Peterson through the first three games.
