Standout Philadelphia Eagles right tackle Lane Johnson was carted off the field with an apparent left ankle injury during the second quarter of Monday night’s game against the visiting New York Giants.

Johnson was hurt when Giants defensive tackle Dalvin Tomlinson and Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz landed on his left leg with 4:05 left in the first half. Johnson was blocking New York linebacker Markus Golden and didn’t see the contact coming.

The Eagles said Johnson was questionable to return.

Philadelphia wide receiver Alshon Jeffery departed earlier in the second quarter with a foot injury. The Eagles also rated him as questionable to return.
