Atlanta Falcons wideout Julio Jones has been ruled out of Sunday’s matchup against the Carolina Panthers due to a lingering hamstring injury that kept him out of practice this week.

He had been listed as questionable and was considered a game-time decision.

Jones is nursing a chronic hamstring injury that caused him to miss the second half of the Falcons’ 30-16 loss to the Green Bay Packers on Monday night. He also sat out Atlanta’s 30-26 setback to the Chicago Bears on Sept. 27.

Jones, 31, has been dealing with the hamstring issue since tweaking it during a scrimmage on Aug. 28. He has 15 catches for 213 yards and no touchdowns this season.

The seven-time Pro Bowl selection and two-time first-team All-Pro has 12,338 yards receiving and 57 touchdowns for his career.

Wide receiver Calvin Ridley (thigh/knee) was limited in practice for a third consecutive day on Friday, but is expected to play.

Rookie safety Jaylinn Hawkins was ruled out due to a concussion for the Falcons (0-4), who host the Panthers (2-2) at 1 p.m. ET.
