The New York Giants traded defensive tackle B.J. Hill to the Cincinnati Bengals on Monday in exchange for center Billy Price.

Hill, 26, has played in all 48 games (17 starts) since the Giants drafted him in the third round in 2018. He has 116 tackles and 7.5 sacks.

Price, also 26, is a former first-round pick, taken No. 21 overall by the Bengals in 2018. He has played in 42 games (19 starts) for Cincinnati but lost his position battle to Trey Hopkins.

Price gives the Giants depth in the interior of their offensive line. They also signed free agent guard Ted Larsen recently.

“It’s something that I think works out for both parties very well,” New York head coach Joe Judge said. “We appreciate what B.J. did. I have a lot of respect for him as a person, a lot of respect for him as a player. I wish him the best of luck going forward.”
