Davante Adams is out for the Green Bay Packers on Monday night.

Adams made the announcement via social media Monday morning as the Packers prepare for their game with the Atlanta Falcons.

“Sorry fans and friends I wont be on the field tonight. I’ve done everything I need to do and proved Im ready but I guess I don’t know my body as well as others. Good luck out there my boys,” Adams wrote via Twitter in a since-deleted post.

The Packers are perilously thin at wide receiver with Adams out and Allen Lazard hitting injured reserve following his breakout game last week. Lazard underwent groin surgery this week.

Atlanta’s injured wide receivers, Calvin Ridley and Julio Jones, are planning to play.

Green Bay has a bye in Week 5 and figures to rely heavily on running back Aaron Jones. Atlanta entered Week 4 last in the NFL with 36 points per game allowed this season.

Marquez Valdes-Scantling could be the No. 1 wide receiver for the Packers.

In the earlier Monday night game, which was rescheduled from Sunday due to the COVID-19 positives on each side of the matchup, the New England Patriots will not have running back Sony Michel.

Michel is dealing with a quadriceps injury just as the Patriots expect training camp standout Damien Harris, a second-year back from Alabama, to return from injured reserve.
