With Las Vegas starting right tackle Trent Brown poised to land on the Reserve/COVID-19 list, Raiders coach Jon Gruden sent home every starting offensive lineman on Wednesday.

“I guess they were around Trent,” Gruden said in a Zoom call with reporters. “I can’t get into things any more than that. But hopefully we’ll get some players back tomorrow, or for Sunday.”

In addition to Brown, the Raiders started left tackle Kolton Miller, left guard Denzelle Good, center Rodney Hudson and right guard Gabe Jackson in Week 5 against the Kansas City Chiefs. The Raiders are coming off a bye and scheduled to host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday night.

“We used other linemen and adjusted practice,” Gruden said. “We’ll have five (offensive linemen) on Sunday. We’ll be ready to go.”

Sam Young is expected to start for Brown.

It has been a turbulent start to the 2020 season for Brown.

Brown missed a chunk of training camp with an unspecified injury and left the season opener after only three snaps with a calf injury, which then sidelined the 6-foot-8, 380-pounder for the next three games. He played his first full game in the win over Kansas City.

Brown signed a four-year, $66 million contract with the team in 2019.

The Raiders had one positive test in their latest round of testing, per an NFL Network report. Brown’s addition to the list means he either tested positive or interacted with someone who did. Contact tracing led the team to send home the linemen.

“I’m really more concerned about Trent (and) his health than anything,” Gruden said. “This is COVID and I am concerned about anybody that has it or is near it.”

Brown is the second Raiders player to go on the list this week. Rookie cornerback Damon Arnette, already on injured reserve, was put on the Reserve/COVID-19 list earlier this week. Defensive tackle Maurice Hurst was activated from the list on Tuesday.

Brown has played in 60 games (57 starts) with the Raiders, New England Patriots (2018) and San Francisco 49ers (2015-17), who selected him in the seventh round of the 2015 draft. He finished last season on injured reserve with a torn pectoral.
