Green Bay Packers wide receiver Davante Adams was officially ruled out of Saturday’s NFC divisional playoff game at Arizona with a sprained MCL in his right knee.
Adams had 50 catches in the regular season and caught four passes for 48 yards and a touchdown at Washington last Sunday.
With Adams out, Jared Abbrederis and Jeff Janis will be in line for additional playing time. Abbrederis had two receptions for 14 yards against the Redskins.
Tight end Andrew Quarless (knee) was also ruled out and subsequently placed on injured reserve, while cornerbacks Sam Shields (concussion) and rookie Quinten Rollins (quadricep) were listed as questionable. Shields is attempting to clear the league’s concussion protocol and his availability will be critical against Arizona’s deep receiving corps.
The news Friday was positive for left tackle David Bakhtiari, who is probable with his ankle injury. Also among the 10 players the Packers listed as probable were running back Eddie Lacy (ribs) and tight end Richard Rodgers (hip).
Rookie cornerback Robertson Daniel was signed off the Packers’ practice squad to take Quarless’ roster spot.
The Cardinals are in generally good health coming off a bye week, with only rotational defensive tackles Josh Mauro (calf) and Frostee Rucker (ankle) listed as questionable. Quarterback Carson Palmer (right finger), guard Mike Iupati (shoulder) and linebacker Markus Golden (knee) were all listed as probable and expected to play.
