Redskins agree to deal with Pro Bowl safety Collins

Former New York Giants safety Landon Collins has agreed to a six-year, $84 million deal with the Washington Redskins. The deal, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rappaport, includes $45 million in guaranteed money.

Collins, 25, is considered one of the top safety’s in the league. Since entering the NFL in 2015, the highly active defender has amassed 437 tackles, 32 passes defended, eight interceptions, four sacks, three forced fumbles and a defensive touchdown. Collins was an All-Pro selection as a rookie. He’s been selected to the Pro Bowl each of the last three seasons (2016-18).

Collins started every game his first two seasons in the league. He missed four games last year and one in 2017.
