FOXBOROUGH, Mass. — Graham Gano, making up for missing an earlier extra point, drilled a 46-yard field goal as time ran out, giving the Carolina Panthers a 33-30 upset of the New England Patriots on Sunday.

The Patriots (2-2) rallied from 14 points down to tie the game with 3:09 left but a costly holding penalty against cornerback Stephen Gilmore on a third-and-7 play that ended in a sack kept a Carolina drive going.

Cam Newton brought his team down to the New England 30 — the Panthers (3-1) calling time out with four seconds left before the winning boot.

Newton torched the shaky Patriots defense, completing 22 of 29 passes for 316 yards and three touchdowns and an interception and also ran for a score.

Tom Brady finished 32 of 45 for 307 yards and two scores. He was 11 of 14 in the two scoring drives that tied the score with 3:09 remaining.

Bills 23, Falcons 17

ATLANTA — Stephen Hauschka kicked fourth-quarter field goals of 56 and 55 yards and Buffalo stopped Atlanta on fourth down at the 10-yard line with 44 seconds left to pull off the upset.

The Bills (3-1) got a 55-yard touchdown return of a Matt Ryan fumble by Tre’Davious White and had two interceptions against the Falcons quarterback, who played most of the game without leading receivers Julio Jones and Mohamed Sanu.

Hauschka gave the Bills the lead on his 56-yard kick with 4:44 left and then hit from 55 yards with 3:06 remaining after an interception by Micah Hyde.

Steelers 26, Ravens 9

BALTIMORE — Le’Veon Bell ran for 144 yards with two touchdowns and Pittsburgh took over sole possession of first place in the AFC North by beating Baltimore.

Bell carried the ball 35 times, the most by a Ravens’ opponent since 2003, and also caught four passes for 42 yards. Pittsburgh won in Baltimore for the first time since 2012.

Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger completed 18 of 30 pass attempts for 216 yards with a touchdown and an interception.

Baltimore’s Joe Flacco was 31 of 49 for 235 yards with a touchdown and two interceptions. He has thrown a pick in 10 consecutive games, the longest streak in the NFL. Flacco was also sacked four times.

Lions 14, Vikings 7

MINNEAPOLIS — Ameer Abdullah ran for 94 yards and a touchdown, and Detroit took advantage of three second-half fumbles by Minnesota to beat the Vikings.

Minnesota rookie running back Dalvin Cook had 66 yards rushing and a touchdown at halftime, but he left early in the second half with a knee injury.

Minnesota (2-2) was playing its third game without starting quarterback Sam Bradford. Case Keenum was 16 for 30 for 219 yards passing for the Vikings.

Bengals 31, Browns 7

CLEVELAND — Quarterback Andy Dalton threw four touchdown passes to lead Cincinnati to its first win of the season.

The Browns are 0-4 for the season and 1-22 since the 13th game of 2015. The Bengals have beaten them six straight times — four straight times in Cleveland.

The Browns avoided the shutout when running back Duke Johnson scored from the 1 with 1:54 to play.

Texans 57, Titans 14

HOUSTON — Houston’s Deshaun Watson became the first rookie quarterback to throw for four touchdowns and rush for another since Hall of Famer Fran Tarkenton in 1961.

He completed 25 of 34 attempts for 283 yards and four touchdowns with one interception.

Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota passed for 96 yards and recorded touchdown runs of 34 and two yards in the first half, but did not return following the intermission, sidelined by a hamstring injury.

Saints 20, Dolphins 0

Drew Brees passed for 268 yards and two touchdowns and the New Orleans defense produced a shutout at London’s Wembley Stadium.

It was the Saints’ first shutout since 2012 and the first time Miami has been blanked since 2013.

Dolphins running back Jay Ajayi, a London native who had three 200-yard games last year, was held to 46 yards on 12 carries.

Rams 35, Cowboys 30

DALLAS — Running back Todd Gurley rushed for 121 yards and caught a 53-yard touchdown pass, and kicker Greg Zuerlein booted a career-best seven field goals to lift Los Angeles past Dallas.

Los Angeles quarterback Jared Goff finished with 255 passing yards and two touchdowns as the Rams outscored the Cowboys 19-6 in the third and fourth quarters.

Jets 23, Jaguars 20 (OT)

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — New York won its second straight game as Chandler Catanzaro made a 41-yard field goal with 28 seconds left in the overtime period to win it.

Jeremy Kerley returned a punt in overtime nine yards, and an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty on Paul Posluszny gave the Jets the ball on the 25.

With Matt Forte being sidelined with turf toe, Bilal Powell had a 75-yard touchdown run and rookie Elijah McGuire had a 69-yarder for a Jets ground attack that had a season-high 256 yards.

Eagles 26, Chargers 24

CARSON, Calif. — Rookie Jake Elliott kicked four field goals and Carson Wentz threw for a touchdown as Philadelphia defeated Los Angeles.

The Chargers (0-4) have lost nine straight dating to last season and 27 of 36 contests.

After setting a franchise record with a 61-yard, game-winning field goal against the New York Giants, Elliott made all four of his attempts — all were from at least 40 yards, with a long of 53.

Philadelphia’s LeGarrette Blount led all rushers with 136 yards on 16 carries.

Los Angeles’ Keenan Allen paced the receivers with 138 yards on five catches.

Buccaneers 25, Giants 23

TAMPA, Fla. — Nick Folk, who had earlier missed two field goals and an extra-point attempt, connected on a game-winning 34-yard field goal as time expired, lifting Tampa Bay past winless New York.

Folk’s kick capped a nine-play, 59-yard drive, highlighted by Jameis Winston’s 26-yard pass to tight end Cameron Brate, which positioned Tampa Bay at the New York 13-yard line.

Winston was 22 of 38 for 332 yards and three touchdowns. New York quarterback Eli Manning finished 30 of 49 for 288 yards and two touchdowns.

Broncos 16, Raiders 10

DENVER — Broncos safety Justin Simmons stopped a last-ditch Oakland drive with an interception, and Denver hung on to beat Oakland, which lost quarterback Derek Carr with an injury.

Simmons outjumped Amari Cooper for the pass from backup quarterback E.J. Manuel in the final moments to thwart the drive.

Carr, who went 10 of 18 for 143 yards and a touchdown before being injured, was sidelined late in the third quarter after being knocked down in a sack.

Cardinal 18, 49ers 15 (OT)

GLENDALE, Ariz. – Carson Palmer connected with Larry Fitzgerald on a 19-yard touchdown pass with just 32 seconds remaining in overtime to lift Arizona past San Francisco.

The scoring drive covered 75 yards on seven plays and came after 49ers kicker Robbie Gould booted a 23-yard field goal earlier in the overtime.

Gould was 5-for-5 on field-goal attempts, including a 23-yarder with 2:24 left in overtime that gave the 49ers a 15-12 lead. He also connected from 49, 39, 47 and 48 yards.
Phil Dawson was 4-for-4 against his former team, hitting from 29, 43, 50 and 32 yards.

The 49ers sacked Palmer six times and has now been sacked 17 times on the season.
