Green Bay defensive lineman Montravius Adams will likely miss the rest of the season due to his toe injury, Packers coach Matt LaFleur said Thursday.
The Packers played the 25-year-old Adams on injured reserve on Wednesday after he aggravating an injury he initially sustained during training camp. He missed last Sunday’s game against the Indianapolis Colts due to the injury.
LaFleur said Adams tried to battle through the ailment.
“I thought ‘Mon’ did a lot of great things this year,” LaFleur said. “His endurability to battle and fight through injuries, the effort he gave every time was exceptional.”
Adams had 11 tackles — two for losses — in eight games this season.
Overall, Adams has 44 tackles (four for losses) and 1.5 sacks in 45 career games (three starts) with Green Bay.
Adams, a third-round pick from Auburn in 2017, is slated to become a unrestricted free agent after the season.
Also, Green Bay added cornerback Kevin King (Achilles) and receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling (Achilles) to the injury report on Thursday. Both players were limited practice participants on Thursday.
Star receiver Davante Adams (ankle) and tight end Marcedes Lewis (knee) missed practice.
