Houston Texans defensive end J.J. Watt left Sunday’s game against the Oakland Raiders in the second quarter with a shoulder injury and did not return.

Watt was seen moving his left arm in discomfort late in the first half, and then jogged off the field and to the locker room. The team initially ruled Watt questionable, but then deemed him out after halftime.

Watt recorded three solo tackles, one for loss, and a batted pass before leaving.

The Texans also lost rookie cornerback Lonnie Johnson Jr. to a concussion, further decimating an injury-depleted secondary. Houston entered Sunday missing three starters in their secondary: cornerbacks Johnathan Joseph and Bradley Roby, and safety Tashaun Gipson.

Johnson had two tackles and a pass breakup before leaving in the first half.
