The Jacksonville Jaguars released linebacker Cassius Marsh on Thursday to make room for the newly acquired Kamalei Correa.

Marsh signed with the Jaguars as a free agent in April.

Marsh had nine tackles in four games (one start) for Jacksonville this season. Marsh has 168 tackles and 14 sacks in seven seasons with the Jaguars, Arizona Cardinals, New England Patriots, San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks.

Seattle selected Marsh in the fourth round of the 2014 draft.

Correa was dealt to Jacksonville from Tennessee on Wednesday after requesting a trade. The linebacker was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list on Sept. 30 and came off the list Tuesday but was inactive for that night’s game against the Buffalo Bills, prompting his trade request.

Correa made two tackles in three games this season while playing just 39 snaps on defense and 24 on special teams for the Titans.
