The Jacksonville Jaguars are working remotely Saturday after a practice squad player tested positive for COVID-19, the team said.

A second test confirmed the diagnosis Friday night. The team is working with the NFL on contact tracing as the player self-isolates.

The Jaguars (1-4) are scheduled to host the Detroit Lions (1-3) on Sunday. The team said the game is expected to be played.

“As a precautionary measure for (Saturday), we made the decision to conduct our football activities remotely while following NFL protocols and recommendations,” a team statement said. “This decision was made in consultation with the NFL and the team’s medical advisors. The health and safety of our players, coaches and staff, as well as their families, are our top priority.”
