–Cornerback A.J. Bouye and Jaguars head coach Doug Marrone weren’t on the same page on Wednesday regarding Bouye’s playing in Sunday’s game against the Indianapolis Colts. Bouye declined to talk to reporters in the locker room, explaining that he wasn’t going to play on Sunday against the Colts due to a calf injury that sidelined him in London in Week 8 against the Philadelphia Eagles.

But when reporters met with Marrone less than an hour later, he called Bouye’s status uncertain for Sunday even though he didn’t practice that day. Marrone was surprised and seemed perturbed when told that Bouye had already ruled himself out of the game.

“Did he? That’s news to me,” Marrone said. “I guess I’ll have to talk to him about that. That’s not what the trainer told me. He did say that? OK, we will take care of that. That’s not been told to me by the trainer. That’s the truth.”

Marrone’s next availability with the media won’t be until after practice on Friday.

–Jacksonville’s last win over Indianapolis was significant on several fronts. It came last year on Oct. 22 at Lucas Oil Stadium, site of this Sunday’s Jaguars-Colts game. Jacksonville would like a repeat performance of what happened nearly 13 months ago. That’s when the Jaguars posted a 27-0 win over the Colts, the first and only road shutout in Jaguars team history. The game ranks as one of Blake Bortles’ best game in his 41/2-year career thus far. The Jaguars quarterback was 18-of-26 for 330 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions. His passer rating of 124.7 was the fifth-highest passer rating of his career.

BY THE NUMBERS: 346 — Total pass receiving yards by RB T.J. Yeldon through eight games this season, the most receiving yards by a Jaguars running back through the first eight games of a season in franchise history.
