New England Patriots safety Devin McCourty revealed Saturday that he and his wife, Michelle, lost their daughter, who was stillborn last week.
Mia McCourty would have been the couple’s third child.
Devin retweeted his wife’s Instagram posts on his Twitter account.
“While trying to cope with our family’s loss, we appreciate the love and support we’ve already gotten, and just ask that you respect our privacy during this difficult time, since we have no answers to give anyway,” Michelle wrote in her post.
McCourty, 32, has spent all 10 seasons in the NFL with the Patriots.
