Free-agent defensive back Champ Bailey was in New Orleans on Tuesday making his first known visit since the Denver Broncos released him after the Super Bowl.

ESPN reported that Bailey was set to visit another team if an agreement was not reached with the Saints.

A 12-time Pro Bowl selection, Bailey is coming off an injury-plagued season in 2013, when he struggled with a foot problem. He was limited to five regular-season games and three in the playoffs, reaching the Super Bowl for the first time in his 16-year career.

Saints cornerback Keenan Lewis tweeted a picture standing beside Bailey, noting that it was his dream to meet “a real legend.”

New Orleans is looking to fill a cornerback spot opposite Lewis, but it is unknown whether the Saints were eying the 36-year-old Bailey for a starting job or to provide secondary depth.

Bailey’s career began with the Washington Redskins in 1999. He moved in 2004 to Denver, where he remained for 10 seasons. In 215 games, he has 52 interceptions, including a career-high 10 in 2006, and 812 tackles.
