Logan Ryan shared his Christmas present with the world on Friday, announcing he’s agreed to a deal to remain a member of the New York Giants.

“A Christmas Morning we’ll never forget,” he tweeted. “The @giants and I just agreed to a new 3 year deal. IM HERE TO STAY!!

“Merry Christmas! #TheMostVersatile #TogetherBlue”

NFL Network reported the deal is worth $31 million, with $20 million guaranteed.

The Giants had signed Ryan to a one-year, $5.05 million deal, plus incentives, after the Tennessee Titans opted not to retain the 29-year-old defensive back.

Ryan had four interceptions, 18 pass breakups, four forced fumbles, 4.5 sacks and 113 tackles last season, setting career highs in every category but interceptions (five in 2013). He made $10 million in 2019 in the final year of a three-year, $30 million contract with Tennessee.

This season, Ryan has provided a veteran presence to an improving Giants defense, which is 12th in the league in total yards (346.4) and ninth in points surrendered (22.2).

In 14 games (13 starts), Ryan has nine passes defensed, three forced fumbles, one interception, one sack and 83 tackles.

In early November, Ryan praised the team’s medical staff for offering guidance that potentially saved his wife’s life. After his wife, who was pregnant, told Ryan by phone of her symptoms, he consulted with a trainer about her condition. The trainer, Justin Maher, advised her to seek immediate treatment, and she had surgery for an ectopic pregnancy.

“That’s the type of organization we have here,” Ryan said at the time.
