The New York Giants activated linebacker David Mayo off injured reserve Friday.

Mayo is expected to make his season debut on Sunday when the Giants (0-5) host the Washington Football Team (1-4) in East Rutherford, N.J.

Mayo, 27, was placed on injured reserve on Sept. 6, shortly after undergoing surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his left knee.

Mayo played all 16 games (13 starts) and recorded a career-high 82 tackles in 2019, including his first two career sacks.

The Texas State product has collected 144 tackles and one fumble recovery in 75 career games (17 starts) with the Carolina Panthers (2015-18) and the Giants.
