Philadelphia Eagles head coach Doug Pederson told reporters Tuesday he expects wide receiver Alshon Jeffery and tight end Dallas Goedert to play in Thursday night’s game at Green Bay.

However, Pederson said wideout DeSean Jackson is a “little further away” and likely will not be back from his core muscle injury until Week 5 against the New York Jets.

Jeffery picked up a calf injury against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 2 and missed Sunday’s loss to the Detroit Lions. He practiced in full on Tuesday.

Goedert was hurt in Week 1 and dressed against Atlanta but did not play. He saw just nine offensive snaps against the Lions, garnering one target, which he dropped in the end zone. Goedert was also a full participant in Tuesday’s practice.

Jackson was hurt before being targeted in Atlanta and has not practiced since. Previous reports said he declined to have surgery on the issue with hopes of returning sooner than later. In his first year back with the Eagles, the 32-year-old had eight catches for 154 yards and two touchdowns in the season opener against Washington.

Rookie wideout JJ Arcega-Whiteside picked up a heel injury against the Lions and was listed as a non-participant on Monday’s estimated practice report, but he returned to a full session on Tuesday.

Joining Jackson and defensive tackle Tim Jernigan (foot) in missing Tuesday’s practice was cornerback Ronald Darby, whose status for Thursday is shaky after he picked up a hamstring injury against Detroit.

The Eagles promoted cornerback Craig James from the practice squad and waived wideout Greg Ward on Tuesday afternoon.
