Seahawks sign WR Tyler Lockett to $69.2M extension

The Seattle Seahawks locked up wideout Tyler Lockett with a four-year, $69.2 million extension, ESPN reported Wednesday.

The deal includes $37 million guaranteed and will pay Lockett a base salary of $11 million in 2021, according to Spotrac. He won’t become a free agent until 2026.

Lockett, 28, caught a franchise-record 100 passes for 1,054 yards and 10 touchdowns in 16 games last season.

He has 376 receptions for 4,892 yards and 37 touchdowns in 95 games (71 starts), plus 38 rushes for 256 yards and one score.

A third-round pick in 2015, Lockett made the Pro Bowl and earned All-Pro honors on special teams as a rookie.

Lockett has also returned 143 punts for 1,068 yards and one TD and returned 127 kickoffs for 3,188 yards and two scores, although he only played two snaps on special teams in 2020.
