Tampa Bay Buccaneers wideout Chris Godwin was carted to the locker room with a hamstring injury in the third quarter on Sunday and was quickly ruled out by the team.

Godwin pulled up and grabbed at his left hamstring while running a route midway through the third quarter. He went down in obvious pain, received attention from trainers and then limped gingerly to the sideline. He was carted into the locker room shortly afterward.

Asked about Godwin afterward, head coach Bruce Arians told reporters, “It doesn’t look good.”

Arians said the same a week earlier about wideout Mike Evans, who pulled up with a hamstring injury that is expected to keep him out the rest of the season.

Godwin had five catches for 121 yards before departing, bringing him to 86 grabs for 1,333 yards on the season. The 23-year-old also has nine touchdowns this season, his third in the NFL.

Thrust into a starting role with Evans out, Breshad Perriman thrived on Sunday, catching five passes for 113 yards and three touchdowns as the visiting Buccaneers beat the Detroit Lions 38-17.
