–Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota was named the AFC Offensive Player of the Week for his performance against the Philadelphia Eagles. Mariota completed 30 of 43 passes for 344 yards and two touchdown passes, including the game-winner in overtime to Corey Davis.

Mariota also had a rushing touchdown for the Titans and was the team’s leading rusher with 46 yards on 10 carries.

True to his personality, Mariota deflected credit for receiving the award to his teammates when asked about the honor.

“Honestly, it’s really a credit to the guys. Without every single one of those guys on offense, that would not have been possible. It’s cool to have a team recognition, and hopefully we can get a few more of those,” he said.

–Safety Kendrick Lewis, who played his first regular-season game in nearly two years last week, is now in line to start for the Titans for a few weeks while Kenny Vaccaro recovers from a dislocated elbow.

Lewis, who was placed on injured reserve by the Baltimore Ravens in October 2016 and was out of the league last year, played some on special teams before having to assume the strong safety position in the second quarter when Vaccaro went out.

He had missed the first three regular-season games this year due to a foot injury, before being active against the Eagles.

“It felt good to just be out there. I felt like I could do more. There were some things I could do better,” Lewis said.

Lewis said having the game taken away makes him grateful for the chance to be back.

“I appreciate it every time. From the first time I stepped into this building, I thank God for allowing me to be back out here,” Lewis said. “I never take it for granted.”
