–Titans head coach Mike Vrabel was asked if he had any musical ability and told a story of when he was in elementary school of wanting to play the saxophone in the band.

“I played the saxophone in the fifth grade for two weeks,” Vrabel said. “I came home and I said to my dad, ‘I want to be in the band.’ He said, ‘OK.’ He drives around (looking for a saxophone) and said, ‘Man, these things are expensive.’ So he gets a used one. I played this thing with the reed and everything, and I can’t play it. I played it and was in the band for like two weeks, and I said, ‘Dad, I’m done.’ He was out like 200 bucks.

“So I kid you not, we’re in Kansas City, and Tyler (Vrabel’s son) is in the fifth grade, and at school they have to be either in the choir or the band. So all the boys were like, ‘We’re gonna be in the band.’ So he’s like, ‘I want to play the saxophone.’ I looked at Jen (Vrabel’s wife) and said, ‘Whatever you do, just rent the son of a (expletive), because in two weeks he’s not gonna want to be in the band anymore.'”

–This Sunday’s game against the Ravens is a special one in a way for outside linebacker Kamalei Correa, who was a 2016 draft pick of Baltimore and was acquired by the Titans late in training camp.

Correa said he is grateful to the Ravens for giving him a chance in the NFL, but is plenty happy in Tennessee, where he has found a regular role as a backup outside linebacker. He already has two sacks this season.

“It kind of gave me a fresh start, a clean state. It’s an exciting new place for me to be. It’s football. I get to play football for a living. I’m excited every Sunday I get to go out there and hit somebody and not get in trouble for it,” Correa said.

Ravens head coach John Harbaugh said he is happy that Correa, who never really found a role in Baltimore being shifted back and forth between the inside and the outside, has found a role with the Titans.

“I take great pride in Kamalei (Correa). When I watch him on tape for Tennessee, he’s playing very well. That’s always good to see as a coach. it’s kind of fulfilling. I’m not surprised at all,” Harbaugh said. “He’s a very motivated young man. He’s very determined, married with a kid. It just means so much to him. He’s a guy we’re going to have a tough time blocking.”

BY THE NUMBERS: 29 — The Titans are 29th in the league in offense currently, and sadly for them their two losses have come to the teams ranked 30th (Miami) and Buffalo (31st).
