–The Redskins are missing three of their top six receiving threats after wide receivers Jamison Crowder (ankle) and Paul Richardson Jr. (shoulder/knee) and running back Chris Thompson (ribs/knee) sat out Sunday’s 20-17 win over the Dallas Cowboys.

That means a performance like the one it got from running back Kapri Bibbs on Sunday is essential. He had a 23-yard touchdown catch and caught four passes for 43 yards vs. Dallas.

A long shot to make the roster in training camp despite a few nice moments late in 2017, Bibbs has outlasted the competition to get his chance. Thompson was hurt during the Oct. 8 game against the New Orleans Saints. Byron Marshall was injured during training camp and placed on injured reserve. Rookie Derrius Guice tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee in the first preseason game on Aug. 7. Rob Kelley is on injured reserve with a toe injury.

“I love stepping into that role. Me and Chris talk about this all the time behind the scenes,” Bibbs said. “The more we can get me and him on the field at the same time. … we’re playmakers. Any time you can get the ball in our hands great things are going to happen.”

BY THE NUMBERS: 8 – Yards away from four 100-yard games this season for Redskins running back Adrian Peterson, who was just shy against Arizona (96), Carolina (97) and Dallas (99).
