Things weren’t looking good for No. 24 North Carolina State.

Virginia Tech, a team with only two wins, playing on the Wolfpack’s home field, led 21-10 heading into the fourth quarter.

Starting quarterback Jack Chambers had been replaced by freshman MJ Morris who, along with his offensive teammates, had to respond and not much time remained.

Morris led the Wolfpack on one touchdown drive, then with 7:38 left in the game, he hit Thayer Thomas with a short throw. The senior wide receiver cut up the middle and carried it into the end zone from 18 yards out for a 22-21 lead, which ended up being the final score.

It was the 15th consecutive home victory for NC State.

That game-winning reception has been chosen as the U.S. Farm-Raised Catfish “Catch of the Week.”

For the game, Thomas caught 10 passes for 118 yards and two touchdowns, including the winning score.

Morris completed 20 of 29 passes for 265 yards and three touchdowns and ran for another 12 yards

Remember … for the tailgate tent or the pre-game party, U. S. Farm-Raised Catfish is always “the winning catch.”

The Catfish Institute, or TCI, was formed in 1986 by catfish farmers and feed manufacturers to raise consumer awareness of the positive qualities of U.S. Farm-Raised Catfish. Since its formation, U.S. per capita consumption has more than doubled.

U.S. Farm-Raised Catfish is a sustainable and environmentally friendly seafood product. The National Audubon Society, Monterey Bay Aquarium, and Environmental Defense all recommend U.S. Farm-Raised Catfish as a safe environmental choice. To find out more, visit www.uscatfish.com.
